Showing Heros and Heroine's in their most negative light.

Whether it's Barbra Streisand, Frank Sinatra, Michael Jackson - or now "The Iron Lady" Margaret Thatcher - some people seem to jealous of people who have achieved greatness that people need to tear them down. I hate that!

It reminds me of what happened to me frequently as a teenager - when others said things like "let your hair down and be one of us" - meaning become as gossipy and negative as the other girls.

Margaret Thatcher was a great woman who achieved many things for herself and her country. Yet the movie "The Iron Lady" seemed to denegrate her greatness and focus on her losses in her later years and specific examples designed to make her look cruel and uncaring.

Why can't we let true heroes be heroes? We do it with men as well as with women, although I agree with my Feminist friends that we are far crueler in discussing strong competent women.
